Guten Foods, parent company of PNW brands such as Gustav's and Rheinlander is opening a new location in the Beaverton area and we're looking for talented, passionate, and ambitious leaders to join our management team.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN THE GUTEN FOODS FAMILY

The Bargarten Bavarian Social Haus is our newest concept featuring a beautiful bar, modern cuisine, and an emphasis on social experience. Inspired by Bavarian beer gardens, the Bargarten Bavarian Social Haus features communal seating, contemporary German cuisine with a NW twist, and an extensive tap menu.

The Management Team sets and achieves the highest standard in all areas of restaurant management including the employee experience, the customer experience, and financial results. He/she oversees training and development of restaurant employees and effectively addresses the needs of our guests.

Sales are your #1 priority and the only way to build sales is through the execution of our standards consistently. As a major asset to our company, you will have a chance to shape our company future and will participate in creating the bigger picture.

Some Key Areas of Responsibility Are:

Operational Excellence

Responsible for leading both, our Hospitality and Culinary teams, in successful day-to-day operations. Be a champion of the standards and behaviors consistent with Guten Foods values and culture.

Team Development
Properly training and developing Hospitality and Culinary teams. Perform new team member orientations, development discussions, performance evaluations, and recognition so that team members are prepared for career advancement opportunities. Coaching and counseling employees on a timely basis; making decisions on promotions and terminations of employees.

Staff Management
Identifying, interviewing, and hiring new team members. Demonstrating the management style that is reflective of Guten Foods values and culture. Fostering an environment of teamwork. Successfully communicate and implement company changes. Ensuring that employees are paid properly and receive appropriate benefits. Writing schedules that meet the needs of the business so that a great guest experience is delivered while maintaining financial responsibility.

Other Managerial Duties
Building sales and managing the restaurant budget. Compiling, preparing, and maintaining P&L statements, budgets, and cost controls with regard to food, beverage, and labor goals. Diligently completes required administrative duties. Ensuring that safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Develop a strong culture with a solid work ethic and an emphasis on fun
  • Consistently deliver a memorable dining experience for our guests
  • Possess exceptional guest service skills
  • Have the ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Must have previous restaurant management experience. This isn't a job that you can easily learn as you go
  • Have applied experience handling OSHA, EEOC, and health department matters
  • Have knowledge of and the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
